Damon dons an impressive array of cozy sweaters for a guy who doesn't know his name for certain, let alone the location of his closet -- he's found floating in the ocean, with a couple of bullets and the number of a Swiss bank account under his skin, but no memory of who he is or how he ended up in such a predicament. As he retraces the footsteps he doesn't remember making, he discovers a huge wad of cash, a handful of passports with his picture in them, a gun that comes in very handy and some surprising life-skills, like a working knowledge of French and the ability to kick the snot out of armed men who want to kill him. Desperate to discover the truth about himself and fully aware that he's being hunted down, he offers a wayward German woman ( Run, Lola, Run star Franka Potente) a small fortune for a ride to Paris. The action scenes hit just the right note -- suspenseful, without being overblown -- a terrific car chase which will change the way you see Minis forever and thankfully, we don't get bogged down in the inevitable love-storyline.
